Characters for Disney’s Aladdin Kids:

Lamp Salesman: Can be a boy or a girl. Looking for a strong actor to play a fast-talking street vendor.

Aladdin: a juggler who becomes a good-hearted, diamond in the rough street rat. This is a very large part and will require someone who is willing to put in a lot of rehearsal time.

Jasmine: Looking for a girl with strong singing and solid acting skills to portray this feisty princess.

Jafar: This sinister and ruthless advisor to the sultan needs to play a wide range of emotions from subtle and menacing to over-the-top greed.

Sultan: A loveable father-type. The sultan is a little ditzy and blissfully unaware of Jafar’s plans.

Iago: Can be a boy or a girl. Iago is the wise-cracking sidekick to Jafar.

Tiger god: Can be a boy, girl or even multiple people. This is the guardian of the lamp and the Cave of Wonders. The Tiger god is an all powerful presence yet a tad bit sassy.

Genie: Can be a boy or a girl. Genie is the magic spirit of the lamp. Funny, fast-talking, and quick-witted, this character is a chameleon who uses improvisational skills to help his master. You do not need to do an imitation of Robin Williams to play this role.

Junior Djinn: Can be boys or girls. These are the spirits of the cave who help execute the magic of the story.

Ensemble: Marketplace hawkers, gymnasts, wrestlers, bread sellers, fishmonger, belly dancers, beggars, cloth vendors, puppeteers, royal guards, royal trumpeters, skeletons. These characters will be onstage for most of the show: singing, dancing and setting the scene.

CHARACTERS for Legally Blonde, Jr.:

Elle Woods may appear like a typical blonde California sorority girl, but don’t count her out. She is hardworking, optimistic and tenacious. Looking for a strong singer who can portray Elle as loveable, earnest and ultimately wise.

Margot, Serena, Pilar: These 3 are Elle’s best friends and Delta Nu sisters. They function as a dynamic singing trio and need lots of energy!

Kate - Elle’s most academically oriented Delta Nu sister.

Warner Huntington III - He is Elle’s ex-boyfriend; caught between his former life with Elle and his newfound serious East Coast life with Vivienne.

Winthrop, Lowell and Pforzheimer - Three admissions officers from Harvard Law School who eventually admit Elle into the program.

Emmett Forrest - He has had to work hard his entire life to get into Harvard Law, and nothing is going to come between him and becoming a partner in Callahan’s law firm, except maybe his love for Elle.

Aaron Schultz, Sundeep Agrawal Padamadan, and Enid Hoopes are three featured law students with academic credits that would intimidate anyone. They are very funny and bold characters.

Vivienne Kensington is the very opposite of Elle, if judging only by demeanor. She comes from a very staunch, conservative East Coast background and is everything that Warner needs to make a serious move to become a lawyer. She needs to show her transition from being Elle’s nemesis to being her friend.

Whitney is Vivienne’s law school friend and partner in mischief when it comes to bringing down Elle.

Professor Callahan is the most-feared professor at Harvard Law School. He is authoritative, a bit of a bully and ultimately the villain of the story.

Paulette is Elle’s manicurist and a bold character with a self-esteem problem. Looking for a great comedienne.

Brooke Wyndham - a famous fitness video guru, who is on trial for killing her husband. This is a high-spirited role for strong dancer.

Dewey - Paulette’s brash ex-boyfriend show lives in a trailer and holds her dog captive. This a cameo role for a fearless actor.

Chutney Wyndham - She has a really bad perm and an even worse attitude. She is Brooke’s unhappy stepdaughter who is actually guilty of killing her father and framing Brooke.

Kyle - the UPS delivery man who Paulette secretly loves.

Kiki, Cashier, Stylist - looking for singer/dancers to whoop it up during “Bend and Snap”

Grandmaster Chad - a fun cameo, Chad is the leader of the Fraternity fun during Spring Break.

Gaelen, Judge, Jet Blue Pilot, Saleswoman, Store Manager, Prison Guard, Bookish Client and Sabrina are features for enthusiastic performers who can give them unique stage presence.

ENSEMBLE ROLES: Waiters, Delta Nus, Frat Boys, Harvard Law Students, Video Performers and Inmates. No role is small in this show where the ensemble will change roles quickly and move from scene to scene with the action.
