Our shows this year are Finding Nemo Jr. for students leaving grades K-5, and Moana Jr. for Middle and high school students. Traditionally our tech and backstage crews work both shows.
These shows will feature some very cool oceanic settings. There will be a wide variety of props and costumes to manage, and we will be employing a lot of tech! There will be 25+ headset microphones in play along with live music, dynamic lighting with a lot of cues and color changes, and up to 3 projectors adding additional depth and details to our backgrounds. On top of all of that, we also like to make some high quality recordings so we could use multiple camera operators. As you can see, there are a variety of jobs available!
Here are some important dates to keep in mind:
Sunday, July 7 - Tech Setup Day 10:00am - 5:00pm
We will hang lights, speakers and projectors. Attendance is not required on this day but we can use all the able bodied help that we can get.
July 15-19 6:00pm - 10:00pm
By this point we should have most of our tech up and running, and we will be introducing props. Attendance is not required this week but if you can attend at least a few days this week that will help you get familiar with your job.
Tech Week July 22-27 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Attendance this week is REQUIRED! We will run Tech rehearsals July 22-25 and show nights will be July 26-27.
Monday, July 29 - Stage Strike 12:00pm - Finished
We will take down all speakers and lights and return props and other items to storage. Any able bodied volunteers are appreciated!
